Delcy Rodríguez asks the National Assembly to decriminalize the Hate Law 'as a matter of urgency'
Acting president Delcy Rodríguez asked the National Assembly for a partial reform of the Constitutional Law against Hatred, according to the letter read at the September 29 session broadcast by Luigino Bracci. The text says the reform seeks to 'advance the decriminalization of the conducts set out' in that law and asks that it be treated 'as a matter of urgency'.
The president of parliament, Jorge Rodríguez, announced a special committee for the bill and said the initiative will be sent to the Supreme Court's Constitutional Chamber before debate. On her show, Patricia Poleo said the appointment of the new justices 'will not be this year'.
