Unions and political prisoners' families protest in ten states for elections, wages and freedom

Workers, unions and political prisoners' families protested Monday in Caracas, Zulia, Bolívar, Monagas, Anzoátegui, Lara, Yaracuy, Aragua, Trujillo and Carabobo, according to Infobae and El Carabobeño. They demanded a timeline for presidential elections, the release of political prisoners, and a higher minimum wage, frozen at 130 bolívares a month since 2022.

Carlos Salazar, of the National Labor Coalition, said: "We want presidential elections this December," according to Infobae. Lawyer Eduardo Torres argued the deal to pick the new judicial committee violates constitutional procedures. National Bolivarian Police blocked the march's advance in Caracas, according to El Carabobeño.

María Corina Machado says 'the reunion of all is near' after her press chief's return

A day after her press chief, Claudia Macero, returned to Venezuela following more than a year in exile, María Corina Machado said: "Every return is another huge step bringing us closer to the reunion of all Venezuelans at home," according to Diario Las Américas.

Macero, Vente Venezuela's communications coordinator, had taken refuge in Argentina's embassy in Caracas since 2024 and faced treason and conspiracy charges tied to the disputed July 2024 election, the same outlet reported.
