Hours later, Trump and Rodríguez held a bilateral meeting at a New York hotel, the first face-to-face encounter between a U.S. president and a Venezuelan leader in over a decade, El Tiempo reported. Opposition commentator Daniel Lara Farías said the interim president arrived in U.S. territory aboard a U.S. government plane and argued that she is the one "giving away" Venezuelan oil to Washington.
