Sunday's official tally, presented by Jorge Rodríguez, head of the temporary camps, puts the dead at 4,490, with 16,740 injured and 17,907 people left homeless, La Iguana TV reported. On Saturday VTV had reported 4,333. Delcy Rodríguez visited the mobile hospital set up by Qatar in Catia on Saturday.

NTN24 on Sunday interviewed Damelis Díaz, the woman who confronted Nicolás Maduro Guerra, Nicolás Maduro's son, in a scene filmed by a Norwegian TV channel that went viral. According to NTN24, Díaz lost her 6-year-old daughter after waiting 4 days for help to rescue her.
Speaking from the nearly destroyed Hugo Rafael Chávez Frías housing complex, Díaz called for change in the country. Patricia Poleo had already criticized the lawmaker for handing out stoves to quake victims.
