Rodríguez–Figuera talks: two sessions with no reporters and no Machado; first cycle runs to August 12

According to El Pitazo, the government and the 2015 National Assembly delegation met for a second straight day; only photographers were allowed in. Jorge Rodríguez said they are moving toward the country's 're-institutionalization', and the cycle runs until August 12. On opposition channels, David Placeres criticized Jorge Rodríguez for calling Dinorah Figuera's delegation 'former lawmakers', while Daniel Lara Farías read the U.S. embassy statement welcoming the talks. Placeres also said Diosdado Cabello lashed out at dissident chavistas such as Iris Varela and Freddy Bernal.

Delcy Rodríguez meets condo boards in Los Dos Caminos: 14 of 54 buildings rated red

Acting president Delcy Rodríguez visited a building in Los Dos Caminos and met condominium boards in Sucre municipality to carry out the Venezuela Renace rebuilding plan. According to the state broadcast, of 54 boards inspected, 40 buildings are rated yellow and 14 red. Nationwide, more than 51,000 inspections have been done since the double earthquake; 9,335 buildings are rated red.

On opposition channels, David Placeres cited a poll saying disapproval of Delcy Rodríguez rose from 61% to 71% after the earthquakes, while María Corina Machado's popularity went from 53% to 72%.
