Delcy Rodríguez retires 110 generals and admirals from the armed forces
Acting President Delcy Rodríguez retired 110 senior officers, 42 from the Army, 30 from the National Guard, 20 from the Navy and 18 from the Air Force, for completing 33 years of service, Infobae reported. They include Lenín Ramírez Villasmil, Air Force commander until March.
On NTN24, panelists read it as a purge to secure an armed force loyal to Rodríguez and to cut Diosdado Cabello's influence; others called it a "Madurista" rather than chavista purge.
