Paramacay case: appeals court will decide within 10 days whether to uphold, change or annul Juan Carlos Caguaripano's sentence

The Court of Appeals of Carabobo's Criminal Judicial Circuit on Wednesday held the hearing for the 23 defendants in the Fuerte Paramacay case, among them retired captain Juan Carlos Caguaripano, sentenced to 30 years for rebellion and treason, Efecto Cocuyo reported. After more than six hours, the court gave itself 10 days to rule.

According to Efecto Cocuyo, the hearing was delayed by connection failures with a prison. Patricia Poleo followed the case live and said Caguaripano, along with 22 other people, could be freed; she also said the captain was not brought to the courtroom.
