Talks at the Gran Meliá: government and 2015 Assembly agree to renew the entire Supreme Court and recover Bank of England gold

Jorge Rodríguez and Dinorah Figuera read the statement closing the first round of talks on Wednesday at Caracas's Gran Meliá, EFE reported. They agreed to renew the entire Supreme Court, expand it from 20 to 32 justices and seek about 31 tons of Bank of England gold, some $1.95 billion, for reconstruction.

According to The Objective, María Corina Machado and Edmundo González are not taking part. Mario Silva said it is the United States that is in charge through the talks; La Iguana TV said it welcomes any negotiation. Patricia Poleo criticized that the talks have still not met with relatives of political prisoners.
