Chavismo and the opposition reach on Tuesday the next-to-last meeting of the first round of U.S.-backed dialogue without reporting progress on the key issues, EFE reported: renewing the National Electoral Council, restructuring the Supreme Court and the aftermath of the June 24 earthquakes.

María Corina Machado spoke by videoconference at the Foro América Libre in Montevideo, Vente Venezuela reported. She said Venezuela has reached "the final phase of this tyranny" and that the transition can only happen with the people, with an organized society in the lead.
Machado thanked President Donald Trump and Secretary Marco Rubio and said the dismantling of the repressive system has begun. She recalled the October 2023 primaries and the July 2024 election.

State TV aired acting president Delcy Rodríguez's announcement of new homes for people who lost theirs in the double earthquake: finishing projects, starting new builds and adding about 1,000 more homes if work speeds up, plus purchases on the secondary market and rentals under the new tenancy law.
