A flight carrying María Corina Machado fails to take off after three countries deny landing permission

A private flight meant to carry María Corina Machado from Panama to Venezuela failed to take off after three countries denied landing permission, El Financiero reported. It was, according to David Placeres, already the seventh failed attempt by Machado to return to the country since she received the Nobel Prize in Oslo.

A U.S. State Department spokesperson said Washington is not blocking Machado's return to Venezuela, NTN24 reported, though the opposition noted Trump met with Rodríguez, not Machado, during his time in New York.
