José David Cabello, Diosdado's brother, leaves Seniat to head Pequiven

Acting president Delcy Rodríguez removed José David Cabello, brother of minister Diosdado Cabello, from Seniat after 18 years in the post, Infobae reported. He is replaced by Román Maniglia, 42, a former president of Banco de Venezuela. Cabello will now head Pequiven, according to Infobae and La Patilla.

On the opposition side, David Placeres read it as a blow to Diosdado Cabello's power, saying he loses control of taxes for the first time in nearly three decades. On NTN24, an analyst said Cabello is not pleased with the presence of 2,000 US troops in the country.
