Nicolás Maduro and Cilia Flores trial to begin June 1, 2027, Judge Hellerstein rules

Judge Alvin Hellerstein set June 1, 2027 for the trial of Nicolás Maduro and Cilia Flores in Manhattan, Reuters reported. Motions to dismiss will be argued on November 17; attorney Barry Pollack said he will argue head-of-state immunity and challenge the legality of the capture.

David Placeres said the hearing lasted 13 minutes. On NTN24, Roberto Macedonio said Maduro and Flores neither looked at each other nor said goodbye in the courtroom.
