Delcy Rodríguez signs the phase-two license for the Loran gas field with BP, XRG and UCC at Miraflores

Acting president Delcy Rodríguez led the signing at Miraflores of the license for phase two of the Loran gas field, on the Deltana Platform. According to Reuters, the license goes to Britain's BP together with the UAE's XRG and a unit of Qatar's UCC. Rodríguez noted that phase one is shared with Shell.

At another Miraflores event, signing an addendum between Corpoelec and Argentina's IMPSA, Rodríguez said electricity demand hit its highest peak in eight years, at 15,726 megawatts, and that the double earthquake knocked out the Termocarabobo plant and 600 megawatts.
